Power of Attorney

Powers of attorney for property, inheritance, banking and administrative matters – valid in Morocco and abroad.

A power of attorney lets someone act in your name – to sell or buy property, manage an inheritance, represent you at a bank, sign company documents or complete administrative steps. For it to be accepted, it must follow the form required in the country where it will be used: a notarial deed, an adoul deed, or a private document with a legalized signature, often followed by a sworn translation and an apostille or legalization.

Moroccans living abroad and foreign investors in Morocco use our service to prepare powers of attorney that work on both sides. We help you with the wording, coordinate the signature in Morocco or abroad through the ABC Translation network, and complete the translation and certification steps.

Frequently asked questions

I live abroad – can I give a power of attorney for Morocco?

Yes. You can sign before a Moroccan consulate, or before a local notary with an apostille or legalization and a sworn translation into Arabic or French. We tell you which option the Moroccan institution concerned (conservation foncière, bank, notary) will accept.

Which language must the power of attorney be in?

For use in Morocco, Arabic or French is generally expected; for use abroad, the official language of the destination country. We provide the sworn translation.

Do you provide legal advice?

We prepare, translate and certify documents. For legal advice on the content of your power of attorney we recommend consulting a notary or lawyer – we can coordinate with yours.
