Document Retrieval
We request official documents from Moroccan (and foreign) authorities for you – no need to travel.
Living abroad, or simply short on time? Obtaining a recent copy of a birth certificate, a criminal record extract or a university document in Morocco can mean several trips to different offices. With your authorisation, ABC Translation requests the documents from the competent civil status office, court, university or registry and follows the file until it is issued.
Because we are also a translation and legalization office, the retrieved document can go straight to the next steps – sworn translation, apostille or embassy legalization – and be shipped to you anywhere in the world. Through our international branches we also retrieve documents from other countries for use in Morocco.

Frequently asked questions
What do you need from me to retrieve a document?
Usually a copy of your ID, the key details of the document (name, date and place of registration, reference number if known) and a signed authorisation. Some documents can only be requested by the person concerned or a close relative – we tell you exactly what is required.
Can you send the documents abroad?
Yes. We ship originals by tracked courier and can send scans in advance so you can start your procedure.
Can you retrieve documents from other countries?
Yes. Through ABC Translation's international offices and partners we retrieve documents in many countries, and translate and legalize them for use in Morocco.
