Certified Translation

Official translations signed and stamped by court-approved translators, accepted by authorities in Morocco and abroad.

A certified (sworn) translation is a translation that carries the signature and seal of a translator approved by the Moroccan courts (traducteur agréé près les juridictions). It is the format required by Moroccan administrations, courts, notaries and universities, and by most embassies and foreign authorities when you submit a Moroccan document abroad – or a foreign document in Morocco.

ABC Translation coordinates your file from start to finish: we check which format the receiving authority expects, assign a sworn translator in the right language pair, and – if needed – combine the translation with an apostille, a consular legalization or a certified true copy, so that you receive a document that is accepted the first time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a certified and a sworn translation in Morocco?

In Morocco the terms are often used interchangeably. What matters is that the translation is signed and stamped by a translator approved by the courts (traducteur agréé). This is the version accepted by Moroccan authorities and by most foreign institutions.

How long does a certified translation take?

Standard civil status documents are usually ready within 24 to 72 hours. Longer documents, rare languages or files that also need an apostille or legalization take longer – we give you a firm deadline with your quote.

Can I send my documents by email?

Yes. For most translations a clear scan or photo is enough to start. If the receiving authority requires the original or a certified copy to be attached, we tell you in advance and organise the collection.

Why do you not publish fixed prices?

The price depends on the language pair, the number of pages, the urgency and whether apostille or legalization is added. Send us your document and you receive a precise, free quote – usually the same day.
